Best domain name video.

One of the best, and only, domain name videos out there.

What is a good tool to use now that overture is dead?

You're right. Overture is so slow it can be pronounced dead and there are rumors that Yahoo will be pulling the overture tool. What I suggest is that you use the following tools:

Google trends: Most good keywords will have a steady graph, you can also use this tool to compare up to 5 terms.

Google returns: Usually good terms will have at least 100,000 google returns. Remember to use quotes ("keywords here") around the terms, if you dont, this will search any page with the two keywords in it, if you do, this searches only pages with the exact phrase in it.

Google images: This works great when searching IDNs. If you want to verify an IDN translations simply plug it into the Google images box and images relating to the term should come up. If they don't, I would research the term a bit more.

DN Help

Hello everyone. My name is Justin Godfrey and I have created this blog to help people with domaining, or domain name investing. I find that people just getting into this industry have a hard time finding all the resources needed to learn and profit from domain names. Over the course of the next few days I will be posting several emails that I have received from people and also posting my replies. Please feel free to email any questions to whois@dr.com and I will reply within 24 hours. Please be aware that all emails will be posted on this page in order to help everyone that has the same question.

Thanks,
Rockefeller
